We need help purchasing flowers to give to widows and widowers on Valentine's Day! :)

Friends and Flowers is a community-driven initiative led by college students. We are dedicated to create moments of love, connection, and hope through simple but meaningful acts of kindness—especially for those who may be feeling overlooked or alone on Valentine’s day.

This GoFundMe supports two Valentine’s Day service projects that mark the beginning of ongoing community outreach throughout the year, while providing college students with a deeply meaningful opportunity to serve.

Valentine’s Day Flower Giveaway

On Valentine’s Day, college volunteers will hand out flowers to widows and widowers in Provo, Orem, Logan, and Rexburg. These flowers serve as small but powerful reminders that people are seen, valued, and loved. For the students involved, this experience offers a fulfilling, hands-on way to serve their communities, build empathy, and create real human connection.

Support for Families Facing Hardship

In addition to the flower giveaways, Friends and Flowers will provide larger, intentional gifts to families and individuals experiencing significant hardship, including the loss of a spouse, serious illness, or other life-altering circumstances. These gifts may include flowers, care packages, and acts of service to bring comfort and relief during an especially difficult season.

How the funds will be used:

● Purchasing flowers for Valentine’s Day distribution

● Providing meaningful gifts and support to families in need

● Laying the foundation for continued community outreach throughout the year

How the funds will be managed:

All funds donated through this GoFundMe will be managed by the Friends and Flowers team and used directly for floral purchases, gift preparation, and delivery. No funds will be used for administrative or personal purposes.

Valentine’s Day is just the beginning.
