Hi, we are The Fresh Start Project, a student-led initiative dedicated to promoting successful reentry for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals. Our mission is to provide mentorship, support, and essential resources that empower individuals to rebuild their lives, reintegrate into the community, and reduce the likelihood of returning to jail or prison.

As part of our work, we are partnering with the Colorado court system to better understand the challenges people face immediately upon release and to help bridge the gaps that often lead to reoffending. One of our primary goals is to raise funds to provide critical items such as cell phones, bus passes, and other basic necessities that many individuals do not have access to when they reenter society. These tools are essential for securing employment, attending court appointments, accessing services, and staying connected with mentors and support networks.

Our purpose is simple but powerful: to remove barriers, promote dignity, and offer a genuine fresh start to those who deserve the chance to succeed.
