Maine Lawyers for the Rule of Law needs your support!. We are a group of Maine lawyers working hard to protect the Rule of Law in Maine for all Maine citizens, not just for lawyers.

Our most recent initiative is a monthly cable TV show to highlight specific incidents where the rule of law is under attack in Maine. Each month our host, former State Senator Roger Katz, will discuss with a distinguished panel of experts specific cases. The first show airs on Monday February 16th at 7 PM (local channels 2 and 5). Subsequent shows will air monthly. Each show can be viewed on our YouTube channel. The production costs for each of these shows is significant. Previously, on October 14, 2025, we hosted a Public Forum on how to save the Rule of Law. The program was introduced by Governor Janet T. Mills and featured a keynote address by Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman. You can watch a video of the event at this LINK.

Before that, on May 1, 2025, Maine Lawyers for the Rule of Law sponsored a powerful declaration in support of the Rule of Law which every law firm in the State of Maine endorsed, as did over 700 individual attorneys. That was followed by a rally in Portland's Lincoln Park where hundreds of Maine attorneys re-affirmed their support for the Rule of law by re-taking their oath to uphold the law and defend the U.S. Constitution.
