Maine Lawyers for the Rule of Law is pleased to announce a public forum on Standing up for the Rule of Law: How do we save it? on Tuesday, October 14 at Hannaford Hall in Portland at 7:00 pm.
The program will be introduced by Governor Janet T. Mills and will feature a keynote address by Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman, on the concept of the Rule of Law, and what we lawyers, judges, and all Mainers can and must do to defend and strengthen it.
Following Professor Feldman's presentation, there will be a panel discussion featuring Maine Attorney General, Aaron Frey, Legal Director of the ACLU of Maine, Carol Garvan, and President of the Maine State Bar Association, Susan Faunce, and then questions and comments from the audience.
Admission is free so donations are needed to cover the costs of collecting these speakers here, use of the hall, publicity, livestreaming, and more. Please contribute generously to make sure this forum reaches the largest audience possible!
