Yanet and her husband have called the United States home for the past 16 years, building a life together and raising their two children. In September, their world was turned upside down when Yanet’s husband was detained and deported to Mexico, leaving Yanet to care for their family on her own. The family is now facing an incredibly difficult time, as Yanet has also been out of work since July due to a workplace injury.

Yanet’s daughter is currently in high school, and her son just started middle school. Both children are trying to adjust to life without their father at home, while Yanet is determined to provide as much stability for them as she can, as they deal with the pain and trauma of separation.

Funds raised will go directly toward supporting Yanet and her children with housing and essential living costs.
