Fund for Trevor's Relocation to Care for Injured Father

Hello friends,

My name is Will Lloyd, and with my three sons, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for support.

On Sunday, July 13, my wife Helen and I were involved in a devastating head-on collision just outside Exeter, California. We were on our way to visit the burial site of Helen’s brother, Jimmy, who had passed just one week prior. It was meant to be a quiet moment of remembrance. Instead, it became a tragedy of its own.

Helen was taken from us at the scene. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother of three, and a woman of deep Catholic faith. As for me—a spirit-filled Nazarene—I survived the crash with critical injuries: fractured ribs, a broken pelvis, a punctured lung, facial trauma, and aortic damage. By all rights, I should’ve died that day—but God had other plans. I’ve undergone major surgery, spent ten days in the ICU, and now remain in long-term rehabilitation.

While I continue to recover—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—there are still many practical challenges ahead. My son Trevor, who lives and works in Seattle, has generously offered to temporarily relocate to California for the next six to eight months to help support me during this difficult period. He will be assisting with transportation, home logistics, administrative tasks, and general household care as I regain my independence.

Trevor is doing this out of love and duty, but it comes at a cost. He is currently living paycheck to paycheck in Seattle, carrying personal debt and high living expenses, and will be leaving behind steady income in order to help me. While medical expenses are covered, and we expect insurance and settlement assistance in the months ahead, the immediate need is significant.

We are asking for $3,000 to help Trevor with:

• Relocation costs from Seattle to Porterville
• Basic living expenses during the first couple months
• Car insurance, groceries, and utilities as we stabilize our household
• ADA accessible equipment if original goal of 3k is surpassed.

This is not an open-ended appeal—just a request for modest, short-term support so my son can make the move and be present during this critical phase of recovery. Your help would ease the burden on both of us as we navigate a path forward after a tremendous loss.

If you are able to give, please know it will be received with deep gratitude. And if you are unable to give, we ask only for your prayers and well-wishes. Every kindness is felt.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for standing with our family.

With heartfelt thanks and blessings,
Will Lloyd
Porterville, California
