Support for Victim of Email Scam

Hi. My name is Cyndi and my mom unfortunately fell victim to an email scam. They got her for $1500. This was part of my brother's Social Security check.. Those that know me know my mom takes care of my handicap brother. This scam is going on through

email claiming to be with PayPal. Because of how they did it, there is no way to recover the money. Please advise the elderly not to call any number back that they may receive through email. And if anything at all seems strange or if they're asking to purchase gift cards, don't do it.

With that being said, this person is not going to be able to pay their bills or afford groceries. I hate asking, but if anyone feels generous and would like to help her recover any of the money lost, it would be greatly appreciated.
