Support for Thomas Edward Hartman's Funeral

Hello, I regret to inform all that my father, Thomas Edward Hartman, has passed away.

My father was a proud man, the hardest working man I will ever know.

He fought to the end. On Saturday, August 31st, he received emergency open-heart surgery at Baylor Scott and White The Heart Hospital - Plano, TX, for Type A Aortic dissection. Immediately, he was sent to the operating room. Within 24 hours, my father's chest was opened twice, he was sent to the operating room three times, and afterwards ended up comatose. He woke up on September 2nd, 2024, in time to see his daughter who flew in from New Hampshire. For five days, he fought on life support. He fought through blood clot removal in his left atrium and aorta. While both operations succeeding were miracles in their own right, my father could no longer fight. There was no path to recovery. He fought through cancer in 2008, fought through losing his hearing in his left side, through brain tumors and their removal, fought through a triple bypass in January 2023, cardiac therapy, double hernia surgery. He fought with mortality often. He fought to support his family and did his absolute best as a father. He loved his family, the ukulele, animals, and so much more.

My father was a proud man. He kept his finances to himself. The day he went to the hospital for surgery, he was going to work a job.

Unfortunately, it has been discovered that in his final year, he was unable to continue paying for his life insurance. While my brother and I are attempting to reinstate and backpay the life insurance, things are up in the air.

Hence the reason for this GoFundMe. I humbly ask any and all for donations. All donations will go towards funeral expenses and anything left to my mother.
