Anyone who knows David and Becca knows the kind of people they are. They bring warmth, laughter, and genuine care wherever they go.

This holiday season, the Straight family experienced the heartbreaking loss of David’s mother, Debbie. As David and Becca navigate this profound grief alongside their children, Emerson and Hazel, we want to surround them with the same love and support they so freely give to others.

In the midst of loss, everyday responsibilities continue, especially those that provide stability and routine for children. As David and Becca take time away from work to grieve, care for family, and support one another, there is added financial strain during an already overwhelming season.

One of the most tangible ways we can help right now is by supporting their children’s school tuition. This support will allow David and Becca the space to be present with their kids, to grieve without immediate financial pressure, and to focus on healing. If you would like to join in celebrating Debbie Straight’s life, Calling Hours will be held Thursday, January 8 from 4:00–7:00 PM. Her Memorial Service will take place Friday, January 9 at 1:00 PM. Both will be held at First Baptist Church in Ballston Spa. For the memorial service on Friday 1/9, the family invites you to "wear your brightest colors, patterns are great, and smiley faces even better. Debbie hardly ever wore black or grey colors, and always tried her best to put a smile on your face."
