Miguel and Lauren Ruiz have created a beautiful family together. Their daughter, Elizabeth, is about to turn three years old and is a lively, extroverted, joyful little girl.  On Thursday 9/27, Lauren courageously gave birth to their second daughter, Samantha. Devastatingly, Lauren passed away just two days later from complications associated with an autoimmune disease called Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). 

Lauren will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and wonderful mother, who poured every ounce of love into her children and family. She was a loving wife to Miguel, a cherished daughter and sister, and a truly kind, generous friend. She and Miguel were college sweethearts and they had only just begun making their home in the Bay Area over the last few years. She will be gravely missed forever. 

We are starting this fundraiser to help Miguel and his precious family during this very difficult time. He has not requested financial assistance of any kind, but we hope that this fund will give him flexibility and peace of mind should he need anything. Donations could help provide food and meals, clothes for the girls for the upcoming year, babysitter/nanny care, or educational support for the girls.  Anything you can help contribute is so appreciated.
