Many of us have patronized Osbaldeston’s Pets of the World in Gardenville, at one point or another. Most likely you encountered Julie, the owner - she’s the one with the amazing smile and contagious laugh.

Pets of the World has been serving the community for more than 24 yrs. I know I can speak for many when I say they are like family. I have memories in the store with my kids, and guinea pigs, cockatiels, hamsters and gerbils, so many gerbils.

This past week, Julie’s husband Steve passed away from complications of Interstitial lung disease. He had been ill for many years. He received a lung transplant in 2018, and had the other lung replaced in 2021.
