Support for The Matthews Family

The Matthews family welcomed a beautiful baby boy; Landon Matthews on February 17th, 2018 (1 day ahead of his older sister’s birthday – Feb 18th) after his mother, LaLencia had to have an emergency C-Section due to complications with the pregnancy 25 weeks before his due date weighing just 1.5 lbs. He was their first little boy and his parents LaLencia and Marvin along with his big sister Mariah were so excited for the amazing future they would all have together. Sadly, their little angel, Landon passed away and went to be with the Lord after fighting as hard as he could for 10 days, spending his entire life in a NICU. The Matthews family’s future and life have now been forever altered by this tragedy. This awful time in their life that has completely turned their world upside down is coming right after the father; Marvin Matthews Jr. had just taken a job Tampa, FL while the mother and daughter stayed back in San Diego, CA because she was pregnant and had planned on moving to Tampa sometime after the birth of their son. But now the family needs to be together to heal so they will be moving to Tampa immediately and will be trying move into a 1 bedroom that the father currently lives in.

While the Matthews family is grieving the loss of their beautiful baby boy, we would like to help ease the financial burden for this young family. They have extreme medical expenses as you can imagine along with moving costs and other costs. While no amount of money will ever fill the space that has been ripped from their hearts, we can help them keep their heads above water and make sure they don’t have any other unneeded hardships. All of the money donated will go to helping these two young parents be able to cover costs and try and restore some normalcy in their lives.
