Bailey is a 17 year old senior at Ballard High School who recently had to face the tragic and unexpected death of her mother, Tracy, who took her life on November 18, 2019. Tracy was Bailey’s primary caregiver, having raised Bailey as a single mother, and the two were quite close.
In order to support themselves, Tracy and Bailey started a little “pop up” business at the Fremont Sunday market a couple of years ago. Tracy had recently married and she and Bailey had moved into her husband David’s apartment. While David is a wonderful person who cares deeply about Bailey, he is not able to support Bailey financially.
Because Bailey does not have an adult in her life now who is able to provide for her financially, our hope is to raise $10,000 for Bailey. There are two good reasons we are asking for your help:
One is to support Bailey’s immediate needs. Bailey has moved out of David’s apartment and into a friend’s house, and she has missed time from her two part time jobs over the last three weeks since her mother’s death. This has created financial stress. We want to help her cover the cost of her mother’s memorial service, and relieve her of the immediate financial burden of living on her own.
The second reason is to show Bailey that she is not alone. She has a community that cares for her and wants to support her as she goes through the very difficult trials of entering adulthood without the love and support of her mother.
Bailey’s aunt will guide her in managing the funds we raise so she can use the money wisely.
We appreciate your generous and kind support for our dear Bailey.
