Support for the Laux Family

9 months ago our dad, Mark J. Laux, passed away after an accidental fall. Yesterday, we lost our beloved mom, Eileen Laux. To lose both parents in such a short time is surreal, devastating, and very difficult to navigate.

Our parents were the best mom & dad we could have ever hoped for. There wasn't one game or performance or success (however minor) that they wouldn't support and applaud - loudly. They were our emotional support system, a safety net, a place to go when there was no one else to go to.

However, and unfortunately, neither of them financially planned for end-of-life. Since my dad's passing we have been dealing with a myriad of expenses which include lawyer's fees, probate fees, back taxes, house cleaners, junk removal, storage, utilities, massive funeral home expenses, etc. With my mom's passing, we will be doing it all over again for a different estate (they were divorced.) We again will have to find a way to pay for her cremation and everything else listed above.

To ask for help is something we *really* never wanted to do, but with this second tragedy we are left with no choice. Many people have reached out asking how they can help - if you have the means, we would appreciate anything you can give. All we want to do is have the chance to properly mourn our parents, and with the never ending influx of bills we cannot afford, we are stuck in a cycle of worry instead of where we should be - remembering our mom and dad for the wonderful people they were.
