For those who know and love the Johnson Family, you are already aware of the immense challenges they have faced over the past few years. Justin’s courageous battle with cancer has tested their strength and resilience in ways most of us could not imagine. Now, 2025 has brought another heartbreaking blow: Jeff, their beloved husband, dad, and provider, has been diagnosed with an incurable glioblastoma.

Jeff is currently in hospice comfort care at Plano Presbyterian. In accordance with his wishes and after much difficult deliberation, the family has made the compassionate decision to forgo further treatment and focus on keeping him comfortable. A Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order has been signed, honoring Jeff’s desire for dignity and peace in his final days.

Throughout this journey, Rene has been by Justin’s side, stepping away from work to care for him full-time. Jeff was the family’s primary source of income and insurance, and his sudden illness has left the family in a vulnerable financial position.
