Support for the Good Family – Standing with Alana, Ross, and Alfie

Many of you will know Alana and Ross Good — two hardworking, self-employed members of our community who have always given their time and energy in service of others with their small businessess.

Recently, their 15-year-old son Alfie was diagnosed with a brain tumour and is now in hospital facing surgeries. As you can imagine, this has turned life upside down for the family.

As well as the emotional strain, with Alana and Ross, being self-employed, taking time away from work to be by Alfie’s side comes with financial sacrifices. Between staying or travelling back and forward, preparing meals away from home, and the loss of income during this, a usually hectic Christmas period for Sew Personalised the costs quickly add up. Alfie was also just starting to have his room redecorated when he took suddenly unwell.

Friends of the family have come together to create this page as a way for our community to offer practical support and show the Goods that they are not alone. At this time I have decided, in place of a Christmas order from Alana, to donate the equivalent to a fund to support the family with their expenses, loss of income and completing Alfie's room for his recovery.

If you would like to do the same a donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial pressure and allow them to focus on what truly matters — being there for Alfie as he faces treatment and recovery and enjoying a Christmas without having to think about work.
