It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Matthew Besz, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Matt, 56, of Kempton, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025. His loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was the husband of Tammy L. (Henry) Besz. They would have celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in August 2025. He was a proud and loving father to their son, Zachariah, who was the light of his life. Matt’s greatest joy was spending time with his family—whether it was beach trips, mini-golf, or cheering Zach on from the sidelines of a soccer game.
A graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, LCCC, and Penn State University, Matt was a brilliant electrical engineer and for the past 15 years, he worked as a Professional Engineer at PPL, where he was respected for his expertise and dedication.
Matt was a man of many passions—he loved playing ice hockey, snowboarding, hunting, and fishing. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Orefield and a loyal friend to many.
Why We’re Asking for Help
In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, we are raising funds to support Tammy and Zach during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses and contribute to Zach’s educational future—something Matt deeply valued and worked hard to provide for.
If you knew Matt, you know how much he gave to others. Now, we have the opportunity to give back to his family in their time of need. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who may want to honor Matt’s memory. Your kindness and support mean the world to the Besz family.
With gratitude,
The Family and Friends of Matthew Besz
