Ritchie and Barbara Burgher are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to know. Many of you may remember Barbara as my father's caregiver during the last 3 years he was with us. Her dedication and care for him were incredible.

Her husband, Ritchie, is a wonderful person. He works as a Freebee driver on Key Biscayne and was a blessing to my Dad in his final years. They have two sons, one of whom has special needs due to an illness he had some years back.

The Burghers were living in an apartment in North Miami and were forced to flee into the night because of a fire on December 18, 2025. They left with just the clothes on their back.

Barbara is currently between assignments as a caregiver, so that makes what has happened even more stressful. They are looking for a place to live and need even the basics this holiday season.

I would ask each of you to do what you can to help these incredible people get back on their feet. Even as they go through this difficult time, their thoughts have been with others who are less fortunate. Please help if you can.
