<div>Ritchie and Barbara Burgher are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to know. Many of you may remember Barbara as my father's caregiver during the last 3 years he was with us. Her dedication and care for him were incredible.

<div>Her husband, Ritchie, is a wonderful person. He works as a Freebee driver on Key Biscayne and was a blessing to my Dad in his final years. They have two sons, one of whom has special needs due to an illness he had some years back.

<div>The Burghers were living in an apartment in North Miami and were forced to flee into the night because of a fire on December 18, 2025. They left with just the clothes on their back.

<div>Barbara is currently between assignments as a caregiver, so that makes what has happened even more stressful. They are looking for a place to live and need even the basics this holiday season.
