Support for teacher Veronica's trip to see her parents

Dear Hilltop Nursery School Community,

I'm reaching out to share some difficult news. The parents of one of our preschool teachers, Veronica were recently involved in a serious accident in her home country of Guatemala. Tragically, her father passed away, and her mother is currently hospitalized.

Due to her working visa, Veronica needs to obtain special permission to leave the U.S. The timeline for this approval is uncertain, especially given the current political situation. She has not been able to see her parents for over 10 years, as special permission is only granted for emergency situations like this. We want to support Veronica so she can travel home to be with her mother and say goodbye to her father as soon as she receives permission.

Veronica has only been working at Hilltop Nursery School for a couple of months, so she hasn't yet accrued paid time off. We are hoping to gather contributions to help her purchase airline tickets for her urgent trip and to support her during the time she needs to be away without pay. Any amount you are able to contribute will be deeply appreciated and will directly assist Veronica in being with her family during this incredibly challenging time.
