Memorial Support for Taj Te Aroha
Donation protected
It has been 4 months since our sweet Taj Te Aroha passed away on July 15, 2020. Although her time with us was profoundly impacted by pediatric cancer we feel proud of the little person Taj grew to be and grateful for the quality of time we had together. Her life was full of play, travel, animals, food from home gardens, fart jokes, friendships, dancing, curiosity, beach days, art projects, sillyness, laughter and most of all, love. She came to be with us for 3 and a half incredible and unforgetable years. My Taji, my squish, my sweetness, my bum bum, my girl, my first born and yet, never mine to keep. She belongs to the cosmos, to the divine, to the comings and goings of this realm. The memories will be ours to keep and in the way we will always be together. With deep love and affection for each of us in our fragile human lives - In humble acceptance of all that is, and all that is not - we are here with hearts wide open to give and receive love in our time of grief.
We have many ideas for how to memorialize Taj's life with a long term scope for future projects and contributions. We hope to use the funds generated here to contribute in unique and meaningful ways to the charities that we benefited from during Taj's cancer treatments and beyond. The charities include Hospice, Ronald McDonald House Charities in Hawaii and New Zealand, Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation, HUGS and Child Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. In addition, a plan is in place to support other families affected by childhood cancer by donating home cooked meals. And finally, we are eager to complete a reforestation project of native bush on the family's farm land in honor of Taj.
We look forward to seeing all of you and celebrating Taj's wonderful life.
