Hi all,

My name is Elena Fanio. I am reaching out for help after the catastrophic category 5 Super typhoon UWAN worst hit my hometown in the Northern Philippines. My family, my relatives and neighborhood community suffered undescribable devastation and are in need of basic commodities like food and clean water supply.

When the storm hit, the trees, the power line were down - the entire community is in darkness. The roads are not passable, debris are everywhere. The livelihoods of many were extremely affected especially their crops , poultries and etc. where mostly of the people rely from these livelihoods for their living. There has been catastrophic damage to infrastructures and houses across the country. The entire country is now under a state of calamity due to the 2 powerful earthquakes that hit the country in September and October and comes another 2 strong deadly super typhoons that hit the country recently.

I am raising funds to help my family, my relatives and the neighborhood community to get back on their feet. It seems like it will take months for our town to recover and we in Canada want to help as much as we can from afar. Every little counts and adds up and will go directly towards rebuilding, recovery and supporting those who were affected. Any amount of donations is greatly appreciated.
