Support for Sugar Beet Staff
Donation protected
Here at Sugar Beet, we love our staff. We feel that they have handled the changes of the last few days with remarkable energy, grace, and courage. As we head into more unknown times, it is a top priority of our Board of Directors that we take care of our team as best we can. Since the beginning of this crisis, we have implemented "hero pay" of at least $2 per hour for all staff. We are also increasing sick pay coverage, and we are working to implement additional ways to care for our staff and protect their health during this crisis.
How can you, our friends, Owners, and customers, help? We regularly hear the thanks for being open and for the hard work being done to make that happen. This is frequently followed by the question, "Is there anything we can do to help?". This is an easy way to do exactly that.
We encourage you, our Owners and friends of the Sugar Beet, to contribute what and if you can. (We understand that these are particularly tough and uncertain times for many.) All funds will be directly used to compensate and support the Sugar Beet staff. The future is unknown; that is an unsettling reality. But there are other truths that have not changed. Our Co-op is a cornerstone of our community. And our staff is the heart and soul of the Co-op.
