My son Steven Harmon, 42 has faced unimaginable health challenges since the age of 14 years old. But over the past several years, it’s really been a struggle. After three failed kidney transplants—the most recent in 2024—Steven has endured repeated hospitalizations, including two life-threatening battles with sepsis. His most recent hospital stay in Houston lasted over 27 days, and he is now in a nursing home rehabilitation facility, working hard to regain his strength. These setbacks have taken a tremendous toll on Steven and his family financially.

Steven has lost his full-time job due to his ongoing health issues. With two younger children still at home, the family is struggling to keep up with mounting medical bills and daily living expenses.
