This is a little hard for me to share, but I’m going through a major life transition and could really use some support.

After seven years, I recently left a long-term relationship and had to start over from scratch. I made the decision to leave most of my belongings behind, including furniture, just to get into a more stable situation. Right now, I’m staying in a hotel while trying to find a more permanent place to live.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve also dealt with some ongoing health challenges with my back that made consistent work difficult at times. Like many in the service industry, if I’m not working, I’m not getting paid, so catching up has been tough.

I am working and doing everything I can to move forward, but the upfront costs of starting over—like securing a place to live and replacing basic essentials—have been the biggest hurdle. Thankfully, I was able to secure a second job that will start in a week.
