My name is Joshua Short. As many of you are aware, my brother James and his children Mathew and Ada Short suffered an unimaginable tragedy with the loss of their baby boy Evan on November 15th, 2023.

Due to the ongoing investigation and love for my family I can not go into further details.

I have since been by their side to anticipate their needs and stand with them while they process this devastating and life changing event. I know that many of you also want to help and support James and his family, and I truly hope this is an appropriate avenue to help facilitate your profoundly appreciated sympathy.

As James and his children move forward it is my hope that this fundraiser will help them meet their needs so that they can focus on the difficult and emotional healing process ahead.

Any and all support is extremely appreciated. The majority of your support will be used for out of pocket legal fees and any funds beyond the goal will be put towards rebuilding their home, their lives, and future support for Mathew and Ada.
