On April 29, our cousins Shane and Melynda Willis with their two children, were involved in a tragic car accident. The children only suffered minor injuries, but sadly, Shane and Melynda did not survive the accident. Shane and Melynda, long time residents of Moscow, Idaho, were new to their community in Pierre, South Dakota, but quickly became beloved for their warmth and generosity. Shane’s long time career with Les Schwab brought them to Pierre, and Melynda continued her career with the University of Idaho. They were the most amazing parents, always surrounding their kids with love and extended family, and actively participating in family reunions. Their commitment to creating a nurturing environment for their children was evident in everything they did.

Shane and Melynda were also supportive members of their community, always ready to lend a hand or offer guidance. They saw every opportunity to be positive mentors and were known for their kindness and willingness to help others. Their loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew them, and their children now face a future without the loving guidance of their parents.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used to support the children's immediate care, counseling, and current needs, as well as to help ensure their future stability and success.
