On August 23, 2026, Sarah lost the love of her life, her husband JP, suddenly and unexpectedly.

Her heart, and the hearts of all who loved him, are irretrievably broken and changed forever. This summer, they poured their hard work, savings, and dedication into opening their first official restaurant, Smokd, in Livingston Manor.

We're asking for any support you might be able to spare in her time of need, as we rally around her to show our love and to attempt to carry some of the unbearable weight and financial stresses that she's facing in these next few weeks, months, and maybe longer. A little goes a long way to helping Sarah find a way back to standing once again, and a possible path to reopening the restaurant her and JP launched together this summer.
