Last night, our friends Sarah and George and their family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. In the middle of the night, they woke to their home filled with smoke from a fire believed to have started in the basement. With no visibility and little time to react, they escaped with their lives—but lost everything they owned.

At the same time, Sarah is currently in the hospital giving birth to their newborn baby, Brooke. In a matter of hours, this family has gone from preparing to welcome a new life to facing the complete loss of their home and all their belongings.

They have two young children, Artemis and Mia, and now a newborn, and are being forced to start over from nothing.

They had just recently purchased their home and did not have homeowners insurance, leaving them with no safety net during this devastating time.
