Santana Orozco is a devoted single mother whose strength and compassion have touched many lives in the recovery community. On June 6, 2025, she welcomed twin daughters, Amyna Rain and Amya River, into the world. While this should have been a joyful time, Santana and her family are now facing an unimaginable challenge. Amya, one of the twins, is currently at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston Salem, NC, with a large, fast-growing tumor in her frontal lobe. After a recent MRI, Amya is scheduled for urgent brain surgery to remove the mass and determine the next steps for her treatment.

Santana has become a source of light and support for others, but now she needs help herself. With Amya’s surgery and recovery ahead, Santana will be out of work for an extended period. She is caring for Amyna and her two older children at home, while also managing the emotional and financial strain of Amya’s hospitalization. The family needs support for everyday expenses like food and bills, as well as the extra costs that come with caring for a child in the hospital.
