Ryan Lawson--beloved father, brother, son, and friend--was found on October 23rd having died peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by five beautiful children--Braden (21), Makenzie (17), Calen (14), Kyler (9), and Taevin (6).
Braden is a thriving young man--living independently, working full time, and going to school. The four younger children live with their mother, Milissa, who does an incredible job of balancing work and home. She works as a nurse to support the household, is an avid practitioner and instructor of yoga (the thing that keeps her grounded), and does everything in her power to nurture her children's growth into happy beings capable of loving and caring for themselves and others.
Ryan's death eliminates the possibility of future child support for his family (with the exception of possible help from Social Security), putting Milissa in a position of needing to take an additional job or adding more days to her schedule, both of which will reduce her time with the kids.
The family has received an outpouring of love--for which they are immensely grateful--and most messages end with, "Please let me know how I can help." Ryan’s parents are able to cover the costs of Ryan's end-of-life care, including the Celebration of Life, but if you'd like to give the children the gift of more time with their mom while she guides them through this emotionally confusing and difficult time, please consider giving to this campaign.
