Support for Russ Shokunbi's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Aloha. My name is Trisha Fellows. On November 28, the world lost a very special person. This is written by one of his close friends:
Russ Shokunbi possessed one of the warmest, biggest hearts I've ever come to know. He had a deep love and affection for his family, and was a steadfast friend. He is survived by his mother, and several cousins, aunties, uncles, and friends who held him in just as high regards as he held them. An only child to his mother Oretha, and recently sole provider for their household, we lost this great man, son, cousin, nephew, uncle, brother, and friend in an unfortunate accident November 28 while he was traveling in Japan with his mother and two of those friends he regarded so strongly as family. We humbly ask your support in providing assistance to his mother, as international policy and practices will have her on her own for some time before any benefits will be able to be addressed. Any and all donations will go directly to her.
The world is truly lesser for this loss, anyone who has ever been in a room with Russ, shared a meal or a drink with him, had a conversation with him would attest. Nothing will ever replace the hole Russ's absence will create in our lives, but we ask that you remember the laughter, the jokes. The friendly jeers, and earnest conversations. The quiet moments when he would lend an ear and offer his heart and advice. The great food he'd happily prepare for others, and all the times we had with him, ended far too soon.
Thank you, God bless.
