Support for Rosey and her family

Hi all, I'm a friend of the Cann-Wild's family. As some of you may know in January Rosey was diagnosed with Osteo sarcoma, bone cancer in the tibia bone below her knee. The cancer has spread to her lungs also which has insited an intensive chemotherapy program.

It was a shock and has been an intense journey for Rosey (12), her mum and dad (Calamaty and Ryan), her sisters Skye (10), Talila (4) and Brya (2) and surrounding family and friends. Rosey is going though chemotherapy as I write this. She is due for surgery in mid April to remove the tumour and will receive chemo until September at least. Rosey has spent the majority of her time over the last two months in hospital for appointments, treatments and recovery. As you can imagine it has been a huge transition for the family. Ryan has his own car mechanic shop and the kids are home educated. The family will likely need to move in the near future due to suitability of their home for Roseys respite and recovery.

The support they have received from meals, childcare, house cleaning, funds, lifts to the hospital, gifts and so much more has been extraordinary. They are so grateful.

As this journey continues they are at a point of reaching out to the wider community to ask for support. The money raised through this fundraiser will be for bills, food, tutoring for the children, fuel, support with moving home when needed, childcare, cleaner, psychological support for Rosey and the family, and all other things a family needs during this difficult time.

None of us are prepared for a journey like this. It is heartbreaking to witness a child navigating this but absolutely extraordinary the bravery and courage that comes through. I am in awe of Rosey. I am in awe of Calamaty and Ryan navigating this. It's been rocky but there has also been so much grace, laughter and love. To watch family and community come together to support this beautiful family gives me hope and faith in people again.
