As some of you know, Rina Yogesh Patel was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in 2017. Her original cancer metastasized and then moved into her brain and different parts of body. Rina had an extremely tough battle to fight. Rina began initial treatment in India and returned to Canada to continue fighting her battle with cancer.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Rina Yogesh Patel on May 8, 2019 in Brandon Manitoba. If you knew her at all, you know that she was one of the toughest, most resilient (and stubborn) people on the planet!

We are starting this GoFundMe to support Rina Yogesh Patel’s family. Her family (husband – Yogesh with 2 beautiful daughters Kriti, 2 years old and Dwija 7 years old) have spent around $50,000 (borrowed  from others) for many expensive and alternative treatments for Rina.

Additionally, the family has had to pay expenses for funeral and memorial services. As you can imagine, the tragedy of losing a beloved family member and the costs from treatment and services are a lot for this family to handle on their own.
