Hi everyone, thanks for being here. I’m Rachel, a close friend of Mark + Jess. As you all know, sweet Poppy made her way into the world (4 weeks early) on Christmas Day after a long and scary delivery. When Poppy was born she was not breathing and was immediately taken into the NICU. Poppy has proven to be a fighter, but for the foreseeable future will continue to reside in the hospital where she can receive the best care possible.

On New Years Day, Poppy was moved to a specialty hospital so she can receive the particular care she needs. While this is a blessing, Poppy is now much farther from home, making a hard situation even more difficult to navigate for Mark + Jess as new parents.

Many people have asked how they can practically support Mark + Jess during this time since we do not know how long Poppy will be in the hospital in the coming weeks or months. These funds will be given directly to Mark + Jess, since Jess will not be able to return to work for the indefinite future.
