On behalf of my parents, I’m reaching out for support during an incredibly devastating time.
On October 18th, 2025, my parents’ home was broken into in what police believe was a targeted robbery. In recent months, Asian American small business owners in our area have increasingly become victims of theft, with perpetrators targeting families they believe keep cash at home.
My parents have spent over 40 years running a small jewelry shop—working tirelessly, day after day, to build an honest living and provide a better future for my brother and me. As first-generation immigrants, they sacrificed everything to create a life of stability and opportunity for our family. Our home, once a place of warmth, comfort, and cherished memories, now feels marked by fear and violation.
The thieves stole their savings and my mother’s jewelry collection. The loss is not only financial—it’s deeply personal. Each piece of jewelry held meaning: gifts my father saved to buy for my mother through the years, pieces she hoped to pass down to her children, and items they had set aside for retirement.
My father had planned to retire next year, as he approaches 70, but this loss has placed that dream in jeopardy. We are humbly asking for help to recover some of what was taken so he can still retire as planned and begin a well-deserved new chapter after decades of hard work.
Any contribution—no matter the size—means the world to our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this heartbreaking time.
