Support for Ranger's Refuge
Donation protected
“This is a Sanctuary. A place of Refuge for the lost, abandoned, misunderstood, abused, weak, and old. Here your journey ends. You are safe. You are home.”
That is the first thing you see entering Ranger’s Refuge, a small sign to the side of the driveway welcoming every last rescue that enters their sanctuary. In a low estimate, hundreds of animals have now been welcomed home with those words, and the promise that they are safe. With no exaggeration, Ranger’s Refuge delivers life-saving resources, aid, and support not only to animals in need, but to other local and national sanctuaries in search of support.
With Covid posing such a large risk on college campuses, many of the student volunteer organizations are unable to send their regular volunteer shifts to the sanctuary and we are now turning to you for help. While we are unable to donate our time and labor to the sanctuary we are turning to family and friends to ease the financial burden of running Ranger’s Refuge and caring for the hundreds of animals that live there. Beyond daily expenses, Ranger’s Refuge also covers numerous medical expenses for their animals, and animals at other sanctuaries, such as spays/neuters, tumor removals, medications, and transportation costs for all of their appointments.
Others have stepped in to support these costs, through mask fundraisers and sponsor parents, but at the end of the day, your contribution and this fundraiser can make a big difference. Ranger’s Refuge is in a critical position right now with 16 pigs in need of new homes and each one requiring a spay/neuter. As of right now, 4 females are unable to begin their spaying process as they wait for 10 males to be neutered. With each procedure costing over a hundred dollars, this situation quickly adds up.
This fundraiser will help with the medical costs for rehoming these pigs, in addition to easing the financial situation for Lorelei and Ron Pulliam who own and run Ranger’s Refuge. Lorelei’s Facebook is filled with other fundraises and rescues, and we hope to show her that the love and kindness she shows others will be returned to her.
Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser for such an important cause.
Thank you so much for reading this and taking the time to learn about this amazing program.
