Support for La Rana Vegana and Studio Caracol

La Rana Vegana and Studio Caracol is a both restaurant and pottery studio, bringing together food and art to nourish the body and soul.

Run by two local artist, Rana and Jorge, La Rana Vegana is the first fully vegan restaurant in Cabo San Lucas and Studio Caracol the first pottery studio in the area as well. Both are located in the heart Cabo San Lucas. More than a culinary experience, it's a place where creation happens, informed by Indigenous perspectives and practices.

Rana and Jorge built this family-run, community-centered vegan restaurant and art studio to serve as a platform for activism and advocacy. At the heart of their work is a call for animal rights and environmental stewardship. It's also a place where artists can feel at home and free to create beautiful work and enjoy healthy, plant-based food. It's more than a restaurant and art studio for Rana and Jorge, and its more than just a living and their "daily bread." For the past 8 years, La Rana Vegana and Studio Caracol have been at the center of outreach efforts and a gathering place for cultivating community ties. This is a valued vegan restaurant and studio.

With the generous support of donors and friends, Rana and Jorge successfully relocated the restaurant and studio during the peak of the pandemic, and they are now in the process of rebuilding their efforts, culinary creations and artistic practices. They are endlessly grateful for the support from all their donors and for the community loyalty. But as we work, as a global society, to rebuild and reconnect in the wake of ongoing crises (climate disasters, pandemics, racism and xenophobia to name a few), more help is needed to keep La Rana Vegana and Studio Caracol alive.
