Hi, my name is Larissa, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my dad after a sudden and devastating flood caused severe damage to his home and belongings.

We’ve now been told that the house has been officially condemned due to the extent of the flood damage. It’s heartbreaking news, but we’re grateful that my dad is safe.

Because he owns the land, the focus now shifts to what comes next: demolition and cleanup, temporary living arrangements, and planning for the future. Funds raised will help cover those immediate needs as he navigates this transition.

I can’t properly express how thankful we are for the support, donations, and messages. What started as an overwhelming situation has been met with so much kindness, and it has made a real difference for my dad and our family.

In a matter of hours, floodwaters overtook his property, filling his home with mud and debris and destroying much of what he owned. Furniture, personal items, and essential household belongings were ruined. He has been in this home for over 20 years. This has been overwhelming for him, both emotionally and financially. Cleaning, repairs, replacement of basic necessities, vehicle costs, and temporary living expenses are far more than he can handle alone.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

• Cleanup and removal of mud and debris

• Repairing flood damage to the home

• Replacing essential furniture and personal belongings

• Transportation and vehicle-related expenses

• Temporary housing and basic living needs

My dad is not someone who asks for help. He’s spent his life supporting others, and now he needs a community around him while he works to rebuild what was lost.
