Support Patrick Herring's Recovery Journey

Dear family and friends

On behalf of our cousin, Patrick Herring, son of the late Doris and Wesley Herring, we, Vivian Bowers-Cowan and Nehemiah Bowers, are seeking your financial support.

Patrick’s experiencing both financial and emotional distress resulting from colon cancer and bouts with other illnesses. While he's had surgery to remove the cancerous area and gone through rehabilitation; his condition(s) have caused him to miss a great deal of work before and during the discovery, treatment and recovery. Soon Patrick will begin Chemotherapy treatments.

Patrick hasn't been able to work since August 2023. Unfortunately, his benefits were not enough to cover his medical and personal expenses.

Generously, Nehemiah, with whom he has and is currently residing, has been by his side from day one. Nehemiah saw the need and without hesitation became Patrick’s caregiver.

1John 3:17 - “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”

Nehemiah worked with Patrick’s medical care providers, provided transportation and continues to supervise his care. Additionally, he’s worked with his employer regarding benefits, job retention and setting up a remote workstation in his own home.

Graciously, our cousin, Warren Bowers has provided his unwavering support. Warren’s been a steady voice of encouragement and council to Patrick during his hospital and rehab center stays.

Proverbs 12:25 - “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.”

Together Nehemiah and Warren have ensured Patrick makes his medical appointments, follows directives and stays strong. Alas, they cannot sustain this weight alone. Hence this Go Fund Me.

Galatian 6:2 - “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

Following a discussion with Patrick regarding his financial situation, Nehemiah has discovered the mounting debt Patrick is under. His calculation is that $8,000.00 will help make Patrick whole while he recovers and is able to return home and to work full-time. We hope to raise this amount with your help via our Go Fund Me account.

The monies raised will be monitored by Nehemiah and will go directly into a joint checking account for Patrick and Nehemiah. The funding will go towards paying:

Essential bills - basic living expenses

Medical expenses

2021 & 2022 Delinquent Property Taxes - $3618.37

Vehicle Registration - $278

Auto Insurance - $315

Cleaning and sanitizing his home for his safe return

Patrick is currently working from home half days, so income should be coming in this month. Albeit, as mentioned, his chemotherapy is also coming up (possible this month). We are prayerful for positive outcomes, yet unsure how his body will react to that.

We all know "Teamwork makes A Dream Work". Won’t you join team Nehemiah and Warren. Together let's surround Patrick with the care, love and support he deserves as he continues his journey towards healing.
