Early Monday morning, October 27, in Pasadena, Texas, Margarita’s husband left for work, along with her brother and neighbor. When unmarked vehicles started following his work van, they went back to their house.

According to camera footage and community members interviewed afterward, ICE swarmed the home, shut off power, destroyed their security cameras, and threatened to tear-gas their home unless the three people left with them.

ICE did not have a warrant.

Four children were inside the house at this time - the youngest are 1 and 6 years old. Margarita's husband, brother, and neighbor chose to leave with ICE to prevent their children from being tear gassed and protect their well-being.

“They told us (to) get out of the house. They were going to tear gas the house. We (said we) have babies inside,” said Margarita

Margarita's husband, brother, and her neighbor have been held in detention and have not eaten since Monday. They have been denied food and water. Margarita’s husband told her the cell is so cold their bones hurt, and they are very dehydrated.

El lunes 27 de octubre, temprano por la mañana, en Pasadena, Texas, el marido de Margarita se fue a trabajar, junto con su hermano y su vecino. Cuando unos vehículos sin distintivos comenzaron a seguir su furgoneta de trabajo, regresaron a su casa.

Las imágenes de las cámaras y los testimonios de los vecinos que fueron entrevistados después indican que los agentes de ICE rodearon la casa, cortaron la electricidad, destruyeron las cámaras de seguridad y amenazaron con lanzar gases lacrimógenos a la casa si las tres personas no se marchaban con ellos.

El ICE no tenía una orden judicial.

Cuatro niños se encontraban dentro de la casa en ese momento: los más pequeños tienen 1 y 6 años. El marido, el hermano y el vecino de Margarita decidieron dejar que ICE se los llevara para evitar que sus hijos fueran atacados con gas lacrimógeno y proteger su bienestar.

"Nos dijeron que saliéramos de la casa. Iban a lanzar gases lacrimógenos. Dijimos que teníamos bebés dentro", dijo Margarita.

El marido, hermano y vecino de Margarita llevan detenidos desde el lunes y no han comido nada. Se les ha negado comida y agua. El marido de Margarita le ha dicho que la celda es tan fría que les duelen los huesos y que están muy deshidratados.

A tres familias con niños pequeños les han arrebatado a sus padres solo por ir a trabajar. Sus familias necesitan tu ayuda.
