I'm raising money for my parents' home that caught fire Saturday night (5/24). They lost everything in the fire and were only left with the clothes on their backs. We still don’t know the cause of the fire, but I’m so happy and glad they were not home. The fire started on the roof and spread to the inside of the house. Firefighters worked tirelessly from 10:45 pm until the morning around 5 am to stop the fire. It kept igniting every time they got close to putting it out. The entire roof is gone, parts of the second floor collapsed into the bottom floor, and the water damage is astonishing. The next morning around 10 am, the fire department had to come back and add more water to the house as the wood temperature was still too hot and the house was starting to smoke again. The entire house will have to be destroyed and we will have to rebuild. Any funds to help my parents get back some of their essentials will be so helpful! They need clothes for day-to-day, for work, new shoes, and just vital items for their day-to-day. I wish more than anything that this never happened and that the fire could have been contained. Any and all help will be so appreciated, and I thank everyone for the outpour of love and prayers! My mom is so devastated, and I just want to help her feel a little normalcy again.
