Support for Pakhtoon's Family in Crisis
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
I am raising funds for Pashtana Rasol, who was the director of the AFCECO Orphanage in Kabul, which I visited in 2019. After the fall of Kabul in 2021, she fled to Albania, where she is now a refugee. She is trying to help her brother, who is still in Afghanistan and in dire need of funds to support his family. Pakhtoon Rasool is young man from an isolated village in the Nangarhar province and he is currently living with his family in Kabul, Afghanistan. He has six very young children and has a young wife. Before Kabul fell to the Taliban, he worked in a construction company as warehouse worker and had happy life with his family, but unfortunately with the collapse of Kabul and the rest of Afghanistan to the Taliban in August 2021, the construction company shut down the work and Pakhtoon became unemployed. Then he started selling fresh vegetables on the street. His work was enough to feed his family, but sadly four months ago he had a car accident and he had an injury on his legs and his hands. He is now at home and unable to work and to feed his family and also he does not have enough money to support even himself and he does not have any other income. As many people back home, he and his family is dealing with a difficult situation and hardly feeding themselves.
Because of her own precarious situation in Albania, she cannot support him as this time either, so any money would be greatly appreciated.
We are aiming for 3000 dollars now, which would allow Pakhtoon's family to survive for a few months. The money will be used for food, water, electricity, and any medical bills that might come up. But anything more would be great as well -- I will withdraw the money here in the US and it will be directly transferred to Pakthoon through Moneygram or Western Union. At the moment, it's easier to transfer funds from the US than from Albania, which is why Pashtana has asked for our help.
