On July 12th 2025 my mom was pulled over, the officer asked for her driver license but since she’s an immigrant she didn’t have one so the officer called border patrol on her. She’s been detained by ICE for 4 months already and the lawyer that we could afford doesn’t seem to care about getting her out of there. She has 5 children that are all citizens, one of them is in the U.S Army. He recently graduated as a combat medic and his journey in the army hasn’t been easy specially knowing his mom is detained and not in a safe place. Her youngest child is 8 years old and he’s the most affected by her absence. He was diagnosed with depression and separation anxiety since she’s been gone. He used to play soccer all the time and was always exited to go to his games but now it’s like he doesn’t even care about that anymore. He has also been struggling at school he doesn’t have good grades anymore his teacher has told us that he just randomly cries during class and can’t never focus or finish his assignments. Not having my mom has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. Ever since my mom was taken, my life hasn't been the same. It feels like a part of me is missing every single day. My mom isn't just my parent, she's my best friend, my comfort, and the person that has always been there for me no matter what. Emotionally, it has been very difficult, I worry about her every day and often feel sad, anxious, and lost without her. I miss her voice, hugs and the way she always made me feel safe and loved. Every day I worry about her and wonder if she's okay, if she's eating, if she's sleeping and if she knows how much I love her and need her. It's hard to focus on anything when my heart feels so heavy all the time. It's been really hard to stay strong. Some days I try to act like everything's okay, but deep down it's not. I feel lost without her guidance and support.My mom means everything to me. She has worked so hard to take care of me and my brothers to give us a better life, and seeing her go through this breaks my heart. We could really use y’all’s support to be able to get her a new lawyer that actually cares and wants to get her out and bring her back home.
