Supporting Our Glens Falls Firefighter and Her Family

Our fire & emergency services community is facing an incredibly difficult moment. Last evening, a tragic incident involving a member of the Glens Falls Fire Department shook all of us. Firefighters, EMS providers, and community members alike. One of our own was critically injured while serving the public, and her family is now keeping constant vigil at Albany Medical Center.

In times like these, the strength of our fire and EMS family truly shows. We stand together. We lift each other up. And we take care of our own.

As her department focuses on supporting their crews and navigating the days ahead, we are organizing efforts to help ease the financial burden on her family. They are staying in Albany to remain by her side, and the costs of meals, lodging, and travel are already adding up. Our goal is to ensure that the family can focus entirely on her recovery, not on expenses.

We are also coordinating meals for the Glens Falls Fire crews as they work through this difficult time, ensuring they are supported and cared for while they continue serving the community.
