Hi, my name is Laura, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.

My youngest daughter is currently in an emergency child custody case seeking legal custody of her niece and nephews, who are my grandchildren. These children are the kids of my oldest daughter, and due to serious circumstances, our family had to step in to ensure their safety, stability, and well-being.

What began as a family crisis quickly became a legal matter requiring immediate court involvement and attorney representation. My youngest daughter has taken on the responsibility of caring for the children while navigating the legal system — something she did not anticipate but stepped into out of love and protection.

The financial burden of child custody legal fees, court costs, and the daily expenses of caring for additional children has been overwhelming. Custody cases move quickly, and the costs add up faster than most families can prepare for.
