Support for our family in Dad’s final months

Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’m reaching out alongside my family with the heaviest of hearts.

My dad Rob has now been told he has end-stage liver failure. Watching someone you love fade before your eyes is something no one can prepare you for. We’re doing everything we can to hold onto our final months with him and support him through this painful journey.

Our dad is more than just a person. He’s a father, a friend, a husband, a grandparent and a man who’s always put others before himself. Whether it was lending a hand to fix someone’s car, offering advice when you needed it most, or cracking a joke just to make you smile, he’s the kind of person who left people better than he found them and has never asked for anything from anyone in his life.

Now, he needs us.

He was diagnosed with liver failure after being diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis and unexpected complications, which has caused a drastic decline in his prognosis and his condition has worsened rapidly. After his last stay in hospital where we almost lost him, he was told with the rapid decline and we only have a matter of months left with him.

As you can imagine this has left our family distraught and we feel robbed of having our time with him cut so drastically short.

My Dad would love one final small break away with his family before he passes.

As you can see we are asking for what we know is a lot of money, any money raised will be used for:

One last family UK break away

Purchase of a wheelchair to support him

Funds towards his funeral

If any money was left over, this would be donated to the South West Liver Ward at Derriford Hospital who have supported Dad in all of his hospital admissions.
