Reid joined our family in early February and has been diagnosed with Dandy Walker Malformation, along with a genetic anomaly Bohring Opitz Syndrome. This extremely rare combination is present in less than 10 other people worldwide. Our family is currently facing a challenging time as our son is in the hospital awaiting a procedure for an obstructed airway (potentially caused by these developmental delays).
While we focus on supporting him through this difficult period, it has become apparent this is the beginning a lifelong journey of severe disability for Reid. We are also caring for our two other children at home. The emotional and financial strain of balancing hospital visits, childcare, and daily needs has been overwhelming.
We are reaching out to our community for help with groceries, childcare, and the unexpected costs that have come up during this hospital stay.
With great hesitation, we are requesting any donation with gratitude, solely to help our other children at home and provide support during Reid’s time in and out of the hospital. Your support will help us focus on our son’s recovery and ensure our family’s basic needs are met during this challenging time. Thank you for considering helping us—we are deeply grateful for any support you can offer.
