Hello, My name is Ouanti, I am here to represent my mother, Pauline and my Aunt Ulla. We are Palestinians, reaching out for help after we lost our family in the ongoing war in Gaza.
The family were seeking shelter in the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius when Israeli missiles tragically hit it. We lost 12 members of our family in that attack. We have lost Tariq, his son Issa, and his wife Lisa, as well as Abdelnour, his 6-month-old daughter Alia, and his wife Viola. Cousins, who were with them during the attack were also lost.
Their oldest brother, Shoukri, had an excruciating death, two months after the church bombing, because the nuns who were caring for him were unable to obtain life-saving medication and water. He died on January 1st 2024.
Together, we are trying to support our families and rebuild our homes in Gaza while navigating the challenges of living with the family we have left. The emotional and financial burden is overwhelming, and we need assistance to start healing and regaining some stability in our lives.
Your support, no matter the amount, will help us with both rebuilding efforts in Gaza and securing a future wherever we are. We deeply appreciate any help you can provide, whether it’s through donations or sharing our story.
Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time.
