One of my athlete's parents and their family are facing an incredibly difficult time after a recent car accident. Their daughter is currently in the hospital, and the family is staying at a hotel nearby to be close to her during her recovery. Both parents are doing everything they can to support their daughter, but the situation has created unexpected challenges. The mom also sustained injuries in the accident and needs extra care and support as she heals.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping the family with meals while they are at the hospital and staying at the hotel. Gift cards or donations will also help cover the costs when the dad has to miss work to be there for his family. With mom recovering from her own injuries, the family is in need of extra help to get through the coming weeks. Their church community is already helping with meals for the children and family at home, but as the situation unfolds, this support may need to be extended.

I want to invite our Lincoln Girls Softball family and friends to rally around this family in any way they can, while also respecting their privacy during this challenging time. We are so thankful for any contributions to help out this large family that has been a cherished part of our league for many, many years.
